It is widely accepted that the treatment of eating disorders takes a team approach that includes nutrition therapy with a registered dietitian, psychotherapy with a therapist/psychologist and medical monitoring with a doctor. In this course, you examine “normal” nutrition and eating patterns and the physiological, nutritional and behavioral changes that occur in eating disorders/disordered eating. Nutrition challenges in recovering from an eating disorder, the health at every size (HAES) model to treatment and intuitive eating will all be discussed.
