Get an introduction to building a research protocol and learn various techniques to develop qualitative research questions to design, conduct, analyze and present an informative research study. You gain an understanding of the appropriate situations in which to apply qualitative methods, as well as effectively present your results.
Throughout the course, you get an introduction to the codebook tool, Dedoose, to analyze large qualitative data sets. You are expected to conduct your own qualitative research study. To that end, you generate and apply tools for data collection and analysis using qualitative methodologies. You also develop and engage with various techniques for coding and representing qualitative data effectively and explore the strengths and limitations of qualitative software tools to aid with coding and analysis.
