Project Management Insider

Prerequisites

Project managers typically hold an undergraduate degree in a particular discipline or equivalent work experience and receive additional training in project management, although a bachelor's degree isn't always mandatory. There are no admissions requirements for the Professional Program in Project Management.

Curriculum Requirements

The curriculum comprises five required courses for a total of 10 semester units.

To receive the Award of Completion, students must take all course requirements for a letter grade and earn a grade of C or better in each course.

Students must take all courses for a letter grade. All coursework must be completed within three years.

We recommend starting with Project Management BUS ADM X470 and finishing the curriculum with Project Execution and Control BUS ADM X471.9 as your capstone.

How to Register

Candidates must pay a nonrefundable program registration fee. By registering, you declare your intention to complete the curriculum. To register online for the Professional Program in Project Management, complete these two steps:

  1. Submit the online registration, and complete your student account if you are a new student.
  2. Pay the nonrefundable registration fee through your shopping cart.

Please allow 3–5 business days for the program to appear in your student account.

Estimated Cost

Each course is priced individually, and you pay the course fee at the time of enrollment. The certificate has an estimated cost of $5,125 (not including course materials or registration fee). Course fees are subject to change.

Certificate and Award Request

Congratulations! Once you have registered for the program and completed the coursework, email us at extension-business@berkeley.edu and let us know that you have completed the curriculum and are requesting your Award of Completion. After your records have been reviewed, verified and approved (usually within two to three weeks), your Award of Completion will be mailed to you.
