Congratulations on completing your application!
The full application review process can take three to four weeks as we review them on a rolling basis, in the order they are received. Only complete applications with all required information are reviewed. Programs may fill before the application deadline, so we recommend submitting all application documents as early as possible.
Monitor your application status in your UC Berkeley Extension online student account. You will be notified by email regarding your acceptance status and further instructions.
After Acceptance
If you are accepted for admission, you will receive a packet with important information about applying for your visa—including your I-20 Certificate of Eligibility form—and information about paying your fees and enrolling in your program. After you have received and read through your acceptance packet carefully, feel free to contact us if you have additional questions.
Prepare to Arrive
Once you have been accepted, it's time to prepare for your arrival! Go to our Preparing for your Arrival page to learn more about your next steps.
Understanding and Paying Your Program and Course Fees
The timing and methods of payment available varies according to your specific program structure—whether you are billed a program flat fee, a partial program fee and/or per-unit course fees. Please consult your program or department.
- Program Fees: Once you have been admitted into your program, you will receive instructions via email on how to pay your program fees, which are due at least 30 days before the program start date (if not earlier).
- Other Student Fees: Depending on your program, other student fees may be charged, including the Application fee, the CalCentral Term Access fee, the Student Services fee, UC Berkeley Extension Health Insurance fees, etc. These fees are nonrefundable.
- Tuition/Course Fees: If you do not pay a program flat fee, you will also need to pay tuition/course fees in addition to your program fees. If applicable, you will be invoiced for course fees for every course or unit in which you enroll.
- UC Berkeley Extension Courses: Course fees are due at the time of enrollment.
- Concurrent Enrollment Courses: You will receive an invoice one week after the course drop deadline. Visit our Fees and Payment page for more information.
