• A. Anyone with proof of a bachelor’s degree can apply! We work with students who are career changers or academic enhancers.

Career changers are students without a psychology/social sciences background and who are interested in changing their career to prepare for a path toward a psychology- or social sciences–related profession.

Academic enhancers are those students with a psychology/social sciences background and who are interested in enhancing their academic career to become a more competitive applicant for matriculation into graduate programs.

  • A. Yes, international students are welcome to apply! Please email extension-counspsych@berkeley.edu for additional information. Note: UC Berkeley Extension does not sponsor F-1 visas.

Courses in the Live Online format and Seminar on the Graduate Application Process PSYCH 1009 have mandatory lectures scheduled in the Pacific Time Zone, so make sure that the schedule works for you. All courses are available in one of these formats, but not in all. Read more about our online courses.
