UX Design Portfolio

DESIGN X405.4

Delivery Options Online

This exit seminar for the Professional Program in User Experience (UX) Design helps you develop a UX design portfolio to present to future employers and clients in the UX field. Your portfolio must reflect your personal branding style and strengths and address your limitations and knowledge gaps. Your work is assessed with an eye toward improving, as well as editing and synthesizing design content with your existing body of work and uncovering the benefits of storytelling. The main goal of the class is to polish all of the pieces that are included in your final portfolio website and prepare you for your ensuing job search. You perform research to find where you fit into today's design marketplace and design your own self-branding materials (résumé, business cards, cover letter, reference sheet, logo design and many more).

Guest speakers, alumni and industry professionals share their stories, experiences and advice. We pair you one-on-one with UX designers and researchers to provide you with feedback about your portfolio. By the end of the semester, you will have a comprehensive portfolio website with high-quality projects.
