Instructional Types

Live Online
Live Online courses provide an interactive learning experience with scheduled synchronous online sessions held via Zoom video conferencing (Pacific Time). Learn more about the Live Online format.
Online, Start Anytime
Continuous enrollment course begins when you enroll. You have a minimum of 90 days and a maximum of 180 days to complete the course.
Online, Fixed Date
Enroll in this course by its start date and complete it by its specified end date. There are no live sessions, but plenty of opportunities to collaborate with your classmates and instructor.
Classroom
Take classes in-person at one of our buildings or partner locations.

Catherine Pinkas, PhD, M.B.A., PMP, has been a project management professional for more than 15 years, managing projects in a variety of industries, including finance, construction, information technology, hospital management, business development and events management. She has led curriculum development and training for numerous companies, including Apple, Cisco Systems, Bank of America, Network Appliances, IBM and Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory.

Anthony Minstein, B.A., CPIM, CMPE, PMP, Extension Honored Instructor, is director of quality assurance for Concord Consulting. He has more than 30 years of experience managing and directing IT and commercial software delivery organizations. He has successfully led organizations through transformation from ad hoc chaotic to mature, process-oriented solutions delivery. Additionally, he has more than 20 years of experience in university education as an instructor in industrial engineering, business and management and IT for California State University Dominguez Hills, University of San Francisco and UC Berkeley Extension. Minstein is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and also holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified SCRUM Master (CSM) and Lean Six Sigma (CMPE). He presents at global conferences and is a published author, most recently for the trade magazine Global Business and Organizational Excellence.
