Prerequisites

This laboratory is run independently from the lecture course. Students should have completed a college-level Physics I lecture and laboratory course for science majors with a C or better. It is recommended that students have completed a college-level Physics II lecture course for science majors with a C or better or are taking it concurrently.

Minhua Zhu, Ph.D., was an instructor and lab supervisor at Case Western Reserve University and John Carroll University. She has taught introductory physics and modern physics, and supervised mechanics and electric and magnetic labs for premed students and undergraduate students. Zhu is currently working in the medical imaging field.

Austin Hedeman

Austin Hedeman, Ph.D., is a physics instructor at UC Berkeley (since 2015) and UC Berkeley Extension (since 2012), as well as, a visiting professor at St. Mary's College (2018/2019). His interests include teaching, the foundational questions of quantum mechanics, and really anything physics generally!  In addition to that Austin will be happy to discuss sci-fi television and movies at any time.

Gurpreet Kaur

Gurpreet Kaur, B.Ed., M.Sc., M.Phil, Ph.D. is a lecturer at UC Berkeley. She earned her doctorate in Atomic and Radiation Physics and had a chance to use INDUS-2, RRCAT, synchrotron facility for her research experiments. She also teaches at Skyline College. Previously, she taught at Thapar University, JSS Institute of Engineering and Technology. She teaches various undergraduate and graduate level courses and is a nature lover.
